REMLR shirts (work shirt style with simple embroidered name)
« on: March 23, 2018, 01:38:14 PM »
At the 2018 Annual General Meeting a motion was put and accepted to source a REMLR shirt as part of our club merchandise.

Members at the Swim-In were wearing AuLRO shirts that sparked the idea.

This thread is for discussing the idea and finding the right supplier and the right price to source our own REMLR shirt.

Novel idea :D

We do these for our local club.
Cost about 38-45 depending on numbers and embroidery etc.
Come in short and long sleeve for basically the same price.

One aspect was do we keep stock (and all the sizes/colours) on hand at REMLR or do we set up a outfit such as Cafe Press to be the suppler-on-demand (REMLR holds no stock).

How does AuLRO handle it?

AFAIK they get the money first (& don't keep stock)

GCLRO gets a minimum number made up but all ordered and paid for prior to getting them made.

Other option dependent on how stringent you want to be on the shirts and control, would be to have the logo digitised for embroidery in the common formats (possibly Richard has a copy already from previous orders), then dictate/suggest the minimum quality control you want. Have the logo available for download. Unless this is a money making exercise.

Quality control such as: Printed single colour or Full 3 colour logo at min.40mm wide. To be used on khaki or black items only.

Or maybe find an embroidery chain available throughout Australia that could keep the logo on file and be able to be ordered singly from a local outlet.

One supplier seen so far: https://www.logoworks.com.au/uniforms/hi-vis-workwear/industrial-workwear-cotton-drill-shirt/

Ea SS shirt is $42.50, brand"JBs Wear", minimum order is 15 shirts and add $115 to the order cost for the logo design. If we had an order for 30 shirts the logo cost would be under $4 per shirt. Then there's postage.

this company supplies some good quality shirts (known brands) and also can do the embroidery too.
Bisley and King Gee shirts are pretty good and they are just below the $50 mark. Cheaper for more.

Well, before we pick a supplier, lets do some decisions.

First: long sleeve or short sleeve?

Second: colour? lets stick to one colour. blue, khaki (sim to army dress shirt colour), green

Third: sizes. Lets count how many of each. S, M, XL, 2XL, 3XL

I vote: short sleeve, khaki, XL (107)
