COROWA 2018 - LAND ROVER PHOTO SHOOT

Hi Everyone,

I've some bad news - the photo shoot planned for Bandiana has had to be cancelled due to a few administrative problems - I'm disappointed as I'm sure some of you blokes may be.

The good news is , we have a new location - LOWESDALE !

Lowersdale is around 15mins from Corowa so possibly a more suitable location.  I'll post further details and timings closer to Corowa.

You didn't let anyone down Mick - the military is as ever inscrutable and I'm sure most of us  have coped with this kind disappointment before

Lowesdale is not far out on the road to Coreen and should be an excellent substitute - looking forward to catching up and thanks again for organising - at least all the LR drivers will be able to attend.

FFRMAN, Jan Thompson is aware of situation and will be posting all changes and up to date details in the newsletter relating to Corowa.  Anyone interested and has their eye to the ground has plenty of time to make themselves aware of changes.

Hi Mick and all,
I am putting finishing touches to the KVE News edition that participants will receive at booking in. There are some 80+ Land Rovers entered so far, I have put all the latest update and timings for the photoshoot which Jan has sent me after being in touch with Mick. I suggest you guys rotate around Ball Park and anywhere else you see military Land Rovers during the week and remind and encourage them to attend the photo shoot. you could also make up some posters to put up at Ball Park and other campsites.

Mike k there is no listing for a hotel/pub etc in Lowesdale NSW, it has a hotel called Burrajaa but it closed in 1999, cheers Dennis

We have reached our usual number of 300 preregistered packs and now will be ordering more items. This will be a record number of pre-entries which is what I thought might happen particularly with the theme - Year of the Land Rover. For those who are unable to come 2021 is Year of the Jeep so I suggest the Land Rover people try and beat the numbers of jeeps as the jeep people this year are trying to beat the number of Land Rovers. Time will tell.

Plan for Friday 16th March: After the BBQ there is a trip to Classic Air Adventures at Wangaratta and also a Land Rover Photoshoot at Lowesdale followed by a trip to Wangaratta for those attending the photoshoot..
7:30-9:15 KVE BBQ (please put your name on the list at the site office)
9:30 Trip to Wangaratta leaves Ball Park Caravan Park
10:00 Land Rover photo shoot leaves from Rowers Park (opposite Ball Park) for a photoshoot at Lowesdale.
10:30 Tours of Classic Air Adventures commence ($5 per adult and free for children under the age of 15 years). At lunchtime KVE will provide a BBQ with a gold coin donation consisting of sausages, onion, bread and sauces. Kristian from Everyman will have drinks for sale at a gold coin donation. (Names need to go on the board at the Site Office so we know numbers of people attending.)
11:30 (or earlier if photoshoot finishes) Land Rover group will leave from Lowesdale to Wangaratta. KVE lunch available. (Names need to go on the board at the Site Office so we know numbers of people attending.)

Ahh, just saw this, all good then looking forward to it. 
Where abouts exactly will the shoot be, hoping to get some aerial footage form the drone.  My attempts last year failed due to a failed camera motherboard

Hi Phoenix,

The photo shoot will be at the sports oval , there is also an old pau across the rd that would be a great back drop. 

The location is about 15 - 20 mins drive from Corowa. 

Next week I`ll post a diagram of the photo shoot layout so we can sort ourselves out immediately on arrival.  As Carzee has said " it will be like herding cats" but we`ll try.
