Series III FFR ARN: 33-774
« on: February 10, 2018, 10:33:18 AM »
I have just bought this ex Army Series III FFR from a wrecker in Epping who said they purchased it directly from the Army.

The wrecker has recently removed all the ID plates except for the ADR plate.

The chassis number on the ADR plate is: LBCAP1AF 506749

A lot of parts have been stripped off including the doors, bonnet, heater, tool fittings & pintle hook.

It appears to have been a rollover frame test vehicle as the original tub has been replaced with a Perentie tub, which has steel reinforcing on the top capping & has had some steel brackets welded in four locations underneath on the chassis. Whatever was attached to these brackets have been cut off. There are also multiple holes in the floor of the tub.

It has Perentie AYG8108 rims & the remains of two Perentie front seats & the diff has been painted white.

There is also an additional bracket underneath the LR rear jerrycan holder that isnít on my other FFR (ARN:30-923).

Interesting, a tub similar to SRV / RFSV ??

Tub bulkhead has suffered some compression !  A tub as described above in service would be double sheeted at this point.

Parts of the front S3 section may be useable :)
