Any info on Perentie ARN 48740?
« on: December 19, 2017, 04:32:52 PM »
Hi All, This is my first post on REMLR. I recently picked up my Perentie from the auctions in Brisbane. Does anyone have any information on the history, background of ARN 48740? Picture attached for reference.
She was delivered to Bandiana and started service in Pukapunyal in early ‘89. I have the full service history but can’t make out the acronyms of where it has been serviced etc.

The REMLR rego list for this (ARN 48470) is blank (until now) . Is this the only external list available on these or are there other sources to search for the work history of these vehicles?

Any info provided would much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Gary

Welcome to the forum Gary, I hope you find useful info here.

I imagine that you're already aware that manuals are available on the remlr.com site in the library section under emei.

Unfortunately I cannot add any of the info that you seek but your photo makes me wonder if the vehicle already had the antenna mounts removed when you got it ?

Thanks Dugite,

I will look into the manuals etc on here. The perentie is an FFR and came complete with the antenna mounts attached and I have taken them off.

Thanks FFRMan,

There are only two entries in the GM120 for 48740;
1. Vehicle taken on charge 16 Nov ‘88 until 08 Feb ‘89 at Bandiana
2.  Vehicle taken on charge 27 June 1991 at Pukapunyal - with no more entries after that

In the service manual under ‘carried out by repair agency’ it has the following listed ;
SSTN PLB
SLG-P
JLU-V-P
TTDL
BAE
Transfield
SMC PLB
TSS AST

Mean anything?

Thanks AGAS5, on the TTDL: that one had me stumped.

And thanks, Scott, for the compliment about the book.

Just order it via the VBW website and, for an order from Australia, it is a Print on Demand by an Australian printer and sent direct to you, so there are no outrageous postage costs.
