Oil cooler 4BD1
« on: November 12, 2017, 11:27:19 AM »
Hi All,

Got my engine in for a reco after a rollover (previously posted, long story short I’m an idiot and left it running too long on its side) and the fellas doing the repairs have told me it will be best to r place the oil cooler.
Problem is, I haven’t been able to find a suitable one and neither have they.
Is there anyway to safely clean it out so that it will be fine to re use?
Alternatively does anyone have one available that hasn’t had a bottom end failure?
Cheers,
Tripps

Got a feeling I might have already told someone this but there is a bloke called Grant Draney from GWD enterprises in Caboolture who used to have quite a bit of ex army Isuzu stuff. I know he had oil coolers as I bought a complete one off him. That was a few years ago so they could be all gone.  Just looked it up on the net 0417784997. Give him a call - could be lucky!

If Bearman's contact draws a blank try here.

Isuzu Truck Parts Dealer
1121 Beaudesert Road, Archerfield, QLD 4108
Phone (07) 3177 3685

They are yet to N/A on a 4BD1 engine part for me and I’ve had some crackers.

Best if you rock up with part numbers and a bag of clams and they will do trade price over the counter.

If you need part numbers ask and Ill look it up for you.

Thanks Philthy,
The guys doing the reco tried the Isuzu mob here and they said they couldn’t get one.
I’d have assumed they were all using the same system?

The one on the 4x4 perentie is different to the one on the 6x6 and the truck motors. Do you have the correct part number Tripps?

Tripps I wouldn't stress that much about it. You can get them reconditioned just like a radiator. With a ring around on the blower I believe you can use OIL COOLER 5112890030 Hitachi as a reference. http://www.industrial-radiators-australia.com.au/ new price is around $600 for one.  :o try Bearmans contact first.

Chinese copies are about, but double check the application first (Title says fits 4BD1, listing says 6BD1):
