finally got one.
« on: November 08, 2017, 12:09:24 AM »
After scouring the net for a couple of months, a few near misses at auctions and looking at some way over priced units, I finally got a Perentie. A 91 GS.

Thanks must go to Brian (Bearman) and Tristan (p6X6) who stopped into the station in theirs a bunch of months ago which sparked my interest.
Also thanks to Cliffy who put me on to this one I just bought.

Flew over east and picked it up on Friday afternoon and just did 4000+klms arriving back home last night.
Got to say it was the most enjoyable trip I've ever done across the Nullaboring and the thing did not skip a beat.

Cheers!

Well done Steve, now you just have to post up a few photos so we can have a look at it. Does it have a winch?

Thanks fellas!
Brian, no winch and unfortunately no log books either.

Needs a bit of loving but it will be a work in progress.

Cliffy, make sure you call in if you get up this way, beer is always on ice.

P.S. where do I find the ARN number?

Madtuna
I believe the ARN isn't (always) marked on the vehicle.  It is sometimes marked on some of the parts eg the removable parts of the roof frame, or sometimes on the Roll Bars.  The ARN was the number plate on the vehicle when it was in the army.

If the ARN wasn't provided when purchased it can be found by searching the VIN number in the REMLR ARN database, although they are not all there yet (so I guess Id better get back to helping Richard with the list).
Do you have the VIN number handy?

FYI I also have a RFSV in Perth.

regards
David
