got inspired this afternoon, and had to move the workshop! replaced a coupe of things that grew legs in the last couple of months and got the engine running, sounds sweet too.
now to start a list of repairs for post Corowa, to start with, no brakes, no clutch, no reverse gear!
got a bit of a list for shopping if things show up at the swap meet.
Parked it up out of the way and on with the other 2A which has had nothing done to it for the last 3 weeks due to night shift commissioning of the new Iron Knob crushing and screening plant, I need a holiday!

went down to Williamstown to pick up the remains of a 2a gs, this will be the donor for some of the missing parts on Piston Broke and for a mates 109 gs. I took this vehicle up to where I got if from about 18months ago as a complete truck, unfortunately it will be sacrificed to put a couple more back on the road

after being at Melrose for easter and meeting a few more fellow members, I've gotten a bit more enthusiasm to get my projects moving forward a few hours in the sun this afternoon I managed to fit the new clutch slave I did previously free up the master but it appears to be bypassing slowly, but not fast enough to not let me try and drive this truck I am now one step closer and about 3 steps behind, I have an operational clutch but have now got a knackered gearbox! both 1st and reverse are very noisy. there's a spare in the shed so that is covered I am still amazed how smooth the motor runs in this truck, one less worry!

Hi there all

Its great when you get to a show - and where the blood & inspiration starts for the planning/flowing for the next.

I took my 11 year old daughter "Emily" to Melrose, were now considering of another 86' restoration...........we already have the new addition (sorry guys not military)

PS - would have loved a IIA Ex Army shorty but there not easy to find.......

pulled out the floor ready to pull out the gearbox A mate came around an just for the hell of it we fitted a canvas I bought a while back advertised as a land rover canvas, its about a foot too wide and long to fit the workshop frame, but it can sit there for now.
It looks to be from a pre war truck looking at the staples and mid wall extra tie downs, I reckon if I build a frame for it it would be just about right to fit behind the 101.

had a bit of enthusiasm this year!, replaced the brakes, booster and a few lines. flushed the fuel lines and drove it around to my front yard where it will have its gearbox pulled out, only place with enough concrete and space to reach and work. strange set up on this vehicle, it has a sailsbury back end and stage 1 brakes fitted to the front with a remote booster under the lhs guard. once this is finished its time to find enough seats and bits to refit the cab interior
