And would that be specifically a Fordham 2 1/2 tonne jack?

Also looking for a kit for the 5 tonne Fordham jack for a 6x6.

In fact, if you've got any sources for ADF jacks, post 'em up.

Hi All
$77.00 for a seal kit is a ripoff! All the seals and the cup in these jacks can be purchased from any hydraulic supplier for no more than $20. They are a common over the counter part. When I rebuilt my jack I took all my O rings and the cup to the local hydraulic supplier and I was told they have all the bits in stock.
Cheers

Can someone do a step by step walkthrough of rebuilding a hydraulic jack? Never had one apart and never seen a manual for them either.

There is nothing to rebuilding a jack. The hardest thing is making a big spanner to undo the large nut on the top or finding a shifting spanner big enough to do the job. There is nothing inside other than a cup, shafts and O rings. Pull it apart and lay it out and clean and re assemble in reverse order replacing old O rings with new and replace the cup. Fill with hydraulic jack oil and bleed air out by lifting to the full extent and pushing back in. You might have to do it a couple of times you may have to top up the oil while doing this and have the screw on the top done up as well and loosen it while pushing the extensions in. Someone else might add more to this.
Cheers
