No.
The relevant emei was only for GS LR.
The cost to replace the floor/s wasn't worth it.

How do you know your mates veh was never re-issued? Where was it held?

Al,

thanks for the additional comments on the list above. Note the winch FFR I referred to, whilst it had a winch fitted, was not listed in its logbook or on its data plate on the passenger seat base as a winch fitted vehicle. I can only assume it was fitted from new parts or parts salvaged from another vehicle in a local workshop or contractor.
regards,

jag

John,
Was it an 8000 or 9000lb Thomas pto?

It was the correct 8000 Thomas winch. I crawled under it and almost purchased it last year before I was well outbid. It also had the chassis with the slightly longer rear step on the right side. I don't think a 9000 would fit the 110 in any event - too wide.

It's what he told me but he does have the logbooks, so I'll find out.

Hi Folks, have been off air for a time. Adding to the list of FFR variations:
31. Brackets to attach the half moon brackets for the Clark Mast base vary. Lets call it Type 1: manufacturers (Clark) issue mast base brackets with two strips of metal that is each threaded for 2 bolts. The bracket attaches to the inside of the jerrycan bracket (and severely restricts space for the plastic water jerrycan). Type 2: looks to be a fitting mod whereby the strips noted in Type 1 are welded to the outside of the jerrycan bracket and then the half moon base is bolted on, no interference to the jerrycan fit. Type 3: manufacturer (Clark) supplied flat, thin metal plate with 4 threaded bolts attached. This attaches to the inside of the jerrycan bracket with the bolts pointing rearwards (out) for attachment of the mast bracket with nuts. This item has a part number stamped on it. I have seen only a few, perhaps 15% of the population observed so far). Because the plate is thin and flat, it does not interfere with jerrycan fitting.

Folks an update after the recent auction. From WA an FFR with the double jerry can holders (already listed) and an addition at no. 18 - long RFSV type snorkel fitted.
Another I missed before -camo colours - "standard' green, brown, black; "Pilbirra" green, brown, red.

Did you get that one John - you lucky bugger. I would have loved to get it myself. That price was very reasonable.

My experience would indicate that the lined gauges are the early ones.

Thanks for the feedback on the gauges. I did not think to photograph the gauges in the prototype GS at Bandiana which would be helpful.

Here are two auction pics from current AFM sales.

First FFR is for sale with the newer slide slot mount Clark Mast Base, described by John as 'Type 2' above.

Second FFR has a rare bit of CES - its for sale with rear clamp on Clark holders that steady the Clark Masts vertically and horizontally as seen in third and fourth in-service photos.
