Operation Light 2a
« on: May 19, 2017, 08:24:31 PM »
Found these hella red / white lights yesterday , my plan is to use both as single units and make a Operation light and wire up the light as an interiour light (as this is how they wired them on  surveys no toggle switch on lights only on map light pannel).  My question what the best location to put it in the SWB s2a survey and whats the best way to mount it.

I would mount those lights to some 5mm marine plywood, then secure the plywood to the centre hoop with two u bolts. You could also mount a 3-way toggle switch to the plywood.

Much the same as a Perentie set up I guess...

Cheers.

Series 3 FFR had a similar light mounted to a plate on the middle canopy hoop with the wire run inside it, I know that won't work on a SWB, but perhaps something similar on the front hoop, or on the sides of it could work.
