Here is a ideas map -I had to look up where Yea was.

The route from Mansfield you've chosen Ross goes via the Midland Hwy onto the Hume. Whitfield is in further east and sounds like the preferred one.

I'll pick up the convoy when it reaches home.

Good to hear your back on net Geoff,

The ferret will be a great convoy escort vehicle. Hope you can bring it along 😊👍

But the Ferret is a Daimler not a Rover!

Fine if it was the year of the British vehicle but Geoff's first priority should be the series 3.

As for the year itself, like a lot of people I'm going to need extra people to bring down my vehicles, I may even have to co-opt members of the LROC. but my problems would pale into insignificance against DennisM.

What did you have in mind, a road shot of a moving convoy, parking space for a static shot?

I was thinking a shot of the convoy - preferably a on a snaking rd with a mountain background and a stationary form up with a view of the mountains .

I'm sure whatever you come up with will nail it.

I think we're planning to RV with the boys from Western Victoria at Yea Monday / Tuesday Evening then onto Mansfeild the following morning so there around smoko time.

Over to you blue leader 😊👍

Best route for us western district people is,

Ballarat
Daylesford
Kyneton
Tooborac
Seymour
Yea
Mansfield
Whitfield
Etc

No need or desire to go right into Melbourne, that ring road is torture and mostly a car park.

From Whitfield we can get across to Greta and check out Ned Kelly's house, when I lived in Wang I used to know where it was, it was just a ruin, but now I believe it's been restored.

Cheers
Scott

Just wondering if anything final has been adopted/proposed for this journey to Corowa ??

Hi guys,
I also read about the idea of a convoy coming up from Victoria, but as editor of KVE News, I can assure you it was not in there! I think it was in this forum that I read about it.

Hi Everyone,

Richards right, basic concept of operations was those interested coming from Western Victoria and Melbourne areas would RV in Yea Monday Evening then head to Corowa Tuesday morning via Mansfield, Whitfield, Moyu, and Wangaratta before pushing thru to Corowa.

Stopping for a couple of photo's en route.

Anyone interested, let us know and we'll get it happening.

Cheers,

Mick
