Hi,
bought Perentie 1987 Cargo just before Xmas from Carsales and really enjoying it. The ARN is 48157 for your records. Plenty of mods done to it but kept a lot of the original features.
Cheers DK

Hi DK & welcome to the REMLR forum.

Glad to hear you picked up a Perentie. They're a great landy and should serve you well.

Some pics of your beast when you get a chance would be nice :)

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.  :D
Did the previous owner tell you about the forum or did you know about it before?
Just asking -maybe you have other MVs or friends with the same LR.
cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.....I found out about the site from just googling!

Haven't done too much driving with it but managed to get a Sydney-Maitland return trip in recently and it went like a dream ! The turbo makes a major difference. A bit noisey with the rag top but just turned the radio up ! Still discovering all the little nuances and idiosyncrasies of the wagon...but I love it. It's a major change to my daily ride  ..a Lexus!!! but that's a Landy for u. The interior is still original with original paint ...obviously the exterior has had a spray job but can be easily re cammoed. I also love the waves u get from other defender drivers. I've also got the full service history doc ... makes for interesting reading. Attached photos.

Cheers DK

Thx for the pics.
You have an early one, 1987, judging by the tool locker lid latches.
Was it a AFM promo Perentie i wonder? The canopy looks like a Robco one.

The guys I bought it from copied the AFM model.....it came fully restored.
Yes the canopy and seat covers are from Robco and all the upgrades were done by KLR.
