New Vehicle Jack.
« on: April 16, 2016, 05:16:59 PM »
Gumtree was good to me! $60 for a good working 5 Ton jack, but I'm curious. were all Perenties fitted with 5 ton jacks? Or was it only for the 6x6? Was there a smaller one for the 4x4?

For $60 you got a bargain.  I got one in Vic last year that
Hot Rover brought back when he went to Tassie.  Cost me $150
from memory.    Standard issue in the 6x6.
The 4x4 version is a little shorter and rated at 2-1/2 Tonne or Ton.
The big one still fits in the tool locker though.

If you find 5 ton is overkill for your 4x4, I have a 4x4 jack to trade.

A while back ara secret santa dropped off a jack, handle, and wheelbrace. Plus the other items i should send over to you.
The jack had a current date stamped (20c size) servicability disk as well. Yours has a cable tie?

Hi All,
Can you buy a reconditioning kit for the 2 1/2 ton jack? I have one that came with my RFSV but it wont hold the pressure when lifting a weight. It would be nice to recondition it and keep it with the vehicle.
Regards Warrick.
