I checked the REMLR ARN page, but can't find anything close to your engine number in the lists.

The chassis number is stamped into the chassis rail on the passenger side, between the front winch roller guide plate and the cab mount strut. Pretty much directly above the muffler.

On my truck, the lettering was stamped in letters 1.5" high. On the truck in the pic below, they are only 3/4" high. In both cases, they are very hard to see as there were a few coats of paint over them.

I have the auction receipt in front of me,the sale date is 9th Sept 1980.LOT 40/Qty I  ----"International 2 1/2 ton 4x4 cargo truck/1964 Model Mk3. Eng NoAGD282 -15044.approx 2619 miles.Paid $4800 for it ,probably because it had a new engine, and the low miles.I think this was the dearest one I ever bought,as prices were very up and down.As the terrible 1983/84 depression hit prices plummeted,I bought good 4x4 for $1200,and 6x6 for as cheap as $1500.Anybody got a time machine they could lend me?Regards John.PS ARN is 170-064.

Yep, almost exactly what's in the ARN database. It has the original engine listed as AGD282.8915 and that it was scheduled for disposal 21/07/1980.
I'll do a search through my pic collection and see if I can find any of it when it was in service. It looks like it just missed out on going to Vietnam. It's only 10 ARN numbers higher than another QLD truck that went, 170-054.
I'll post here if I find anything.

Its a pity I never bothered taking any pictures of Inters.I have pictures of Diamond T s ,Macks,Studebakers and GMCs as they came from the sales.I do remember though I bought a Mk2 in Melbourne[Beachley St,Tottenham.]drove it back and as I was driving into my yard, the engine stopped. One of the weights in the distributor had come adrift, jammed the drive and snapped off the oilpump shaft.Easy repair in the yard, but if it had happened on the road.I do have some B&W pic of the Mk2.Regards John.

We would love to see your photos John,

It would be great if you could post them up.

Does your truck still run?

Cheers,

Mike.
