I don't know about the 6x6 but the 4x4 are from Quikcorp, just down the road from me. They make some great stuff.

I was with NSW parks when we were given 4x4 merc fire vehicles to trial between 2014 to 2016, there were issues the biggest was the legal weight with fire units, the landcruisers also back then also had weight issues but were overcome with the supply of mine spec cruises which have a larger chassis and suspension than std cruisers, the mercs disappeared not long after this.

The Land cruiser issues were not completely solved hence the trial of the G wagon. One of my projects.

just for interest we purchased a Defender with an extended cab to trial with the G Wagon but landrover made the decision to stop Defender production so it became a moot point. The G Wagon has some issues as a fire unit but is a very capable vehicle. Given what NPWS is now doing it will be interesting to see where they go. The G Wagon will require a different business model if they decide to change from Land Cruiser. Vic Parks has made that leap it seems.
