Mk 4 178-755
« on: August 23, 2015, 09:18:45 AM »
I found this truck a few years ago sitting in a paddock close to the Murrumbidgee, at that time I made a few inquiries but could not find out who owned it, every time I had reason to be in the area I would detour past it, in all those visits the truck was never moved and just appeared to be sinking into the paddock further. Last tuesday I had reason to drive past and there was a person near by, he knew the owner and told me that he was clearing up the block as he was getting married and there was a good chance he would be interested in selling the truck, he gave me the owners phone number and a deal was made. I went up yesterday and after 5 hours of pulling and winching the truck is now free, on a hard surface and ready to be picked up by the tilt tray early next week. The truck is very complete, missing only troop seats, bows and tarp, very little rust or other damage. So good that I think I will keep it, unfortunately it means the fleet will need to be rationalised, so the Mk3 will be going.

Progress has been slow, but she now has the headboard and troop seats nearly finished, looking for 2 seat brackets and 4 seat supports to complete, and she now has the Mk5 performance upgrade, does anyone know where I can source the Coopers air filter indicator?

Hi, the air filter indicator in my F1 and as listed in the RPS is made by Donaldson.
I just searched on eBay for Donaldson Air Filter Indicator and loads came up, quite a few looking just like mine.

edit. Just searched the exact part number and found this one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Donaldson-Servi-signal-Air-Filter-Restricting-Indicator-RBX002250-With-Adapter/322973241170?hash=item4b32b48f52:g:0qoAAOSw8b1aSuZw

I expect most truck parts places would be able to use that number for a cross-reference.

I had a look at the old MK3, as I have a cut down section of the seating in the back. Unfortunately it only has 3 of the folding legs and they are pretty rusty. The strap bits have fallen apart.

Greg.

Thanks Greg, I hadn't checked the RPS all 3 of the 6X6's I have had were fitted with the Cooper indicator which is a clear perspex T shaped unit, the Donaldson will do the job.
