How to find History on Ex Australian Mil 110 - Perentie
« on: May 27, 2015, 07:50:17 PM »
Hello,

I have recently bought a LandRover 110 out of the Australian Military Auctions (AFM). And i would like to look up if there is any history on my particular truck.

I have found information related to it on:

http://www.remlr.com/ARN/ARN-110-GS.php

ARN: 48-074

It states the name of a place where i assume it was sent. But it also stated there is an archived photo/s of the truck..

Anyone know anything about how to find more information or the images ??

Thank you to all!

Looks like it saw service with the 1 RAR Battalion Group during Operation Solace in Somalia 1992/93.

Nice find !

Unfortunately this one looks like a typo with 047 having somali photos, not 074.  I hate making mistakes almost as much as people getting the wrong information about things.

hi all, I have just bought a perentie 110 ARN 51-474, SALLDHAZ1FF800634 could any one tell me any history of this vehicle please.

It has no markings on it and is in better nick than the ones I used when I was in the military lol.
Any info would be great, thank you.

Does the 110 have its Logbook? If not it was probably sold without a Logbook.
Here is the 51----- ARN list and all there is is the auction date and the VIN.

My 110 had a logbook that established a few details but there's no photos of it with any unit as yet. I live in hope and thats what you'll have to do as well. I collect pics of Perenties wearing ARN plates and I haven't got anything as yet for 51-474. But you never know...

Hey all! I have recently purchased and registered a 110 Perentie in South Australia:

VIN: SALLDHAZ1BF571076
ARN: 48-437

The listing in the database states that there is an archive photo of the vehicle as a line layer. I have had a bit of a look, but haven't been able to find the photo. I'll write some PMs, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi All,
Just purchased at a Brisbane auction.  ARN 49453.  I'm a bit confused about searching the service history.  Looked on the REMLR register and the ARN appears but with no additional info like VIN etc.
Purchased from Australian Frontline Machinery a month ago and there were no Log Books available with it.
What is the best way to search history?
(Not that I'm asking to be spoon fed, but I can supply the spoon!)
Thanks in advance,
retracmac

Hello Retramac,
I too purchased a 110 at the recent Brisbane auction and transported it to Adelaide. I bought it without seeing it. But log books were listed as available. When the 110 arrived the log books were not in the cab. I was devastated, but contacted Gray's Brisbane who said yeh we have them! To their credit they express posted them down and i got some awesome history. I highly recommend you ask Gray's. I contacted the Brisbane auction contact. If you don't have those details I can dig them out. Did it list log books being available?

Hey Thanks,
The Grays listing states that the Logbooks were available but when I picked the vehicle up, the guy just said "Nah Mate".
I'll give them a call tomorrow.

That's bollocks, if they list it you should have got it.
Chase up Michael Dewhurst at Gray's in Brisbane, he is the manager and contact for that auction. Good luck
