Assault Pioneer owners

So removed all of the internals a while back and now putting it all back together but can't seem to find what holds the bracket on in the picture. 6mm falls straight through and 8mm way too big.

Neither! It's held with 4 big rivets.

I can't see the length mentioned in the RPS, but a 1/4" rivet would be 6.38mm before swaging, while 5/16" would be 7.9mm.

I don't remember drilling out rivets but it was a few years ago.

Can't see the other side but there are proprietary fixing systems such as Avdelbolt or Huckbolt which has a collar swaged in place around a serated stem. This requires a specialised tool to pull the fixing together and swage the collar in place. Just a suggestion that this is the fixing that may be used.
