found that they are military order.  Anyway he is getting some prices for me.
So I wondered if anyone else was interested in bar treads.   If there was enough interest I might be able to organise a container.

Daniel.

Why - they are sold in Australia and there are MRF dealers around.  I bought some of the sand grip version in 2009 from Ag Services in Moree (no longer sell them) and I believe there are dealers inn Sydney and Melbourne.

All the MRF dealers I have spoken to haven't been able to help,  if you could point me towards one that will I would appreciate it.
Hence going to MRF direct.

Daniel.

Give Antique tyres a call. They are a little expensive and have poor customer service but they cater for a limited market.
After a few years of calling them, asking them if they can get 1200x20 bar treads and being told they couldn't, one fellow said "This is the manufacturer we deal with. We can only get those."
When I pointed out to him that manufacturer made 1200x20 bar treads, he was very surprised and ordered some for me after three further phone calls.

Ok maybe dealers have stopped selling them - they were certainly around 2 years ago.

Do you really think you are going to be able to flog off a container load of tyres?  You will have lots of $$$ tied up for a long time?

Good luck with it

Hi Geoff

I am open to being corrected but as well as being run flat, I thought the Ferret tyres were a higher ply rating than the 101/109/110 FC.  The pattern on the Ferret are usually a lazy "S" while the FC are bar or the XZL block pattern.  Not that you neet to be so pedantic when you replace tyres,

I would have thought that the tyres would be different but maybe not - max weight of a 101 is 3.5t where a Scout according to Wiki is 3.7t so not a lot different though a 101 would rarely be up at 3.5t.

The standard tyre for the 101 is a Goodyear 9.00x16 NDM  nylon bias 10ply tyre.  While the same size, as the Ferret predates the 101 by 20-30 years I assume their tyres are a much earlier version (not nylon).
