Mmmm.....
I quite like it.

What makes you think it isn't a LRPV?

I do not know that much about them

Hi Mick

I've purchased this and pick it up tomorrow morning. Owner says it is a 64 2A FFT fitted out by the ADF with with all the long range gear, roll bar, gun mount etc around the 70's and  was from South Australia.  Apparently vehicle numbers according to register claim it as a standard FFT but I think there were a few FFT 2A's converted to LRPV's around those years, wishful thinking I guess. Anyhow regardless she looks like a great rig and a bit of fun.

Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Let's hope that info is on the money. That would be a bonus.
If it is a replica, nothing wrong with that. I hear someone is doing a great job building a replica SRV from a FFR.

I believe it a replica, but a good one, and not the only one out there, Dinty on here has built one too.  I like it, and have no problem with it.  The one that boils my blood is replicas caliming to be the real thing, that annoys me.

Have fun, I know if it was in my shed I would be enjoying it!

Yes well that's the point the ad is claiming it to be a LRPV, Vietnam vet etc etc

But D R S may be able to shed more light when he gets it, would be an interesting find if it is actually a SA unit modification of some sort
Lots...............

Hi Guys,

I agree with Phoenix - if it feels good do it. Just don't try and pass her off as the real deal.  It does look like lots of fun and I`m sure it will be.  I doubt whether a SA unit would have modified it.  The RAEME Mafia of the day would have been all over them.

Cheers,

Mick
