On eBay...one cheap ex-mil is S.A, plus one which is parts only & what sounds like canvas canopy (??) in amongst the parts.

You're right there but that is a very reasonable price for an ex ADF SIII.

Yes, and thats the strange thing dont you think.

You yourself believe the Ex ADF S3 is up for sale at a fair price, and if you do the conversion it works out at 2,639.00 pounds or there abouts now we should not compare UK/vs Oz prices all the time, but it does give a indication of values.  This ADF at UK prices is a bargain and would sell in the UK  for 4000/5000 pounds...

The fire truck at 4500 pounds $6820 is a bargain over here, yes you have to get it here but thats not too much if you do it right.........and then you have a rare as Land Rover.

Theres many a GS Series 3 about, and only one of these......

Just like my old FC, I could have sold that for 1000';s more than I did, I still have people calling me asking is it still for sale, can I get another one like it ( yes sure I say I have a ex WW2 hanger full of them in the Uk just waiting to go to a loving owner ) or was it whats your best price that made me chuckle... :P

I think prices over here are on the all very fair when it comes to people selling good condition Ex army Land Rovers, take JP's workshop he sold, that was a very good price for the time and effort he put into that, theres far too many people out there who want things for nothing, we all like a bargain me included  and its nice when we get one, but prices have gone up, and quality equipment will fetch a premium price, and so it should.  Other than those ex army TD5 Station wagons for 30K plus, ummmmm that or a wolf land rover for 10k less...............

Hmmm...... Yes........

Your last comment. It disappoints me that there are people out there who end up falsely inflating the prices in the hope of making a quick buck. I hope the got their fingers burnt. (The ones who were just out for a quick buck.)

I'm sure there are many interesting variants over in the UK that are very reasonably priced. I keep looking at what they are getting for 101's. Mind you, old Mercs are dirt cheap here compared to what the fetch over there.

The reality is, things are worth what someone is prepared to pay for them. Depends on who is in the market at the time you are selling  :D
