Still haven't put a unit tac plate on.
My workshop trailer served with 8 RAR so was thinking I'll go with that on the vehicle.
62 on a red background I believe.

Yeah but I think it would still be RAEME just attached to 8 RAR. But I Stand corrected.

I agree, RAEME would always have their own Tac plate.
Trying to stand apart from those other common people.
Why not put 8RARs number on the RAEME plate and
confuse everyone.

I'm already confused.
Ok, RAEME plate but with what number......what would have supported 8 RAR?
Also, if I'm going with that it means I will paint over the remains of the door stencils and apply a red roo to make it look period proper.

Shorty,

Go with a RAEME yellow, blue, and red plate with a white 68.

A standard or light infantry battalion has a Tech Spt Platoon which is part of Admin Coy.  I think 101 or 106 Field Workshop Company supported 8 RAR within 6 Bde.

Cheers,

Mick

Making some RAEME ones now.
How large should the '68' be?

Gave it a drive yesterday after having been in the shed for a bit. Had to put some fuel down the carby to get it to fire up. So I'm going to put an electric fuel pump on. Looking at the cheap ones on eBay, has anyone bought them? How'd they go?

Hi Shorty,

I have fitted electric fuel pumps to both my LRPV and Shorty. Highly recommend them. Hit the ignition listen for the ticking to stop then fire her up and away they go.

I installed the no name type and found them very reliable.

GO FOR IT 👍👍👍👍
