Would that trailer be the right width for the 6x6 then??
I would like to say no.

There are pics on here somewhere of mine on the back of my 6x6.
I'll see if I can find them.

Good point, I was thinking RAAF because the chassis number is not in the army book of registrations, so I presumed RAAF. but not strictly the case.

I can't believe the day these are coming up for sale.  RAAF FFT with the 76 sqn panther on the doors is nice.  No ARN listing for it, would go well with the raaf ally trailer!   Radar trailer is also nice, but I spotted what looks like an ERV ambulance in the background of one photo too.  Exciting to see his cousin selling the se vehicles for him.

Phoenix,

I have commented about this LR in the LRPV thread, the chassis under this LR is listed as being from 113-657 an LRPV. That's assuming that the chassis number in the listing is taken off the chassis and not the plate.

Ahh, I ddin't search in the notes field for the chassis when I didn't find it in the chassis field, i'm rusty at this.  so 113-657  was originally fitted with chassis 25307310b when it was built as a FFT.  It was converted to a LRPV at some stage, and along the way, before or after the LRPV conversion, it was given a new chassis from 177-141.  The original chassis must have been repaired along the way, possibly under 177-141 or another vehicle, but never recorded in the ARN Ledgers.

Well, that's how I see it.  Doesn't quite help with the actual ARN/Identity though, just where the chassis was originally.

Yep, it was his daily driver until the motor blew, then it got filled with rubbish, then the canvas leaked - another big project.

I'm sure he told me the Bamford is an Army fitment

cheers

This one isn't in the ARN lists.

Thanks, I'm bidding on that one!  I'd doubt we have many trailers on the database except the std types.

Cheers

Sad to see Ian selling his SWB. It has a bit more rust than I expected, but it is a sure thing to make big money regardless. They are horrible little vehicles that stuff your back, but people like their short look!! Give me a LWB any day. Ian cherished all of his land rovers and what wonderful heritage he has preserved. A true enthusiast.

Nice one MC !  Perhaps the winch as well ?

I got an answer on the engine:

" Hi
It might have seized Ian was towed home about 4 years ago, and it has not been dealt with since.
I cannot put a crank handle in it to test whether we can turn it over because of the location of the winch
Hope that info helps Thanks for the interest "

That's a lot of money for something with a stuffed engine.... unless you had a spare sitting around :)

Cheers
