Well, I'll go first and set things off!

I'm not sure if this is the right spot to start a restoration history report which commenced way back on the 17th June 2003, but if it is in the wrong place, I'm sure Richard will move it.

By sheer chance, I was surfing another Forum (originated in Canada and has something to do with CMP's), when I spotted a post advising members that a F2 was available for purchase in Australia!  Having always wanted to own an Army International, I convinced the wife that an outlay of $10k was a good future investment (I wouldn't get away with it now!!).  A few weeks later, we travelled up to Canberra from the Western District of Victoria to inspect "B21" and on the 6th July 2003, having handed over an initial deposit, I was the happy owner of an F2 (well almost!).

For many of you, this vehicle will be no stranger - it has appeared on several sites as a reference photo depicting what an actual F2 should look like, normally using the same images - at least Richard and REMLR had the courtesy to ask before using them (copyright to the original photographer).

So, if I have done this right, there should be three photos attached.  If there is interest amongst members, I'll continue on with what has turned out to be a major restoration and take those interested through my restoration journey with these amazing trucks!
Cheers

Great looking original truck Greg. Continue posting photos of any restoration work you undertake. Members love resto projects.

Why are there yellow and red electrical attachment points at the back of the truck. Do you know what the yellow and red signify? I also notice that there is red paint on the inside of the drivers door. Has the door been replaced?

Keep in touch  :D

Great looking original truck Greg.

Why are there yellow and red electrical attachment points at the back of the truck.

They are the air connectors for the trailer brakes.
