Register of Ex Mil Haflingers
« on: May 23, 2013, 09:42:04 PM »
A prominent member of the Australian Haflinger community is putting together a Register of Ex Military Haflingers but so far has only been able to track down about 16 of the 50 or so ex Aust Army Haflingers.

The following pic was taken at Corowa in 2011 and we are looking for further information on the Haffie to the right of the pic.  If any one knows the owner can you send me a PM with the information - likewise advice on whether it is an Aussie Haffie or a nice replica.

Thanks

Garry

I am sure I have a number of detailed photos of that haflinger, and I believe that it was a very nice replica (no australian plates).

When I get around to it I will include a page about the haflingers on REMLR, but they do already have a page on the ARNs just for them if there is any information you want to any specific vehicle.  I too hold these mighty minatures in high regard!

Thanks Richard - if it is not too much trouble could you put up or PM and pics you have.  The REMLR site is great for the ARNs etc and we will draw on that.  We are trying to keep track of where the Army Haffies are.

Cheers

Found this link online - might be worthwhile looking to see if it can be incorporated in the REMLR site under other vehicles.

Thanks Garry,

You found my web site.  I did not think any one went to it?

I got the motor going in mine over Christmas.  Only taken 3 years I hope to finish it off when I retire.  Just not enough time in the day.

Gary,

When I get them going I will compare the Mule to a Haffy.  Just need time to work on  the vehicles.
Got a load of parts for the Mule from the states and trying to make 12v start.  Crank start at my age not good. Prefer to have button start.

Haffy' were down at Corowa this year, I only saw one with big fat tires and when I went to get a pic of it I could not find it.
Looked impressive with the fat tires though!
