Original LR 4cyl engine too. Nice.

Actually we should archive the photos which are way better in comparison to what we have on the REMLR page:

Primarily from its colour - also note its wheels are also body coloured not limestone or silver.

It also has the same second hole in the front bumper as the in-service pic on REMLR.

I think it is interesting that Land Rover call it an omnibus on the VIN plate. Are all 10 seaters named that way?

I think it's 50/50 chance it's Navy vehicle

Anyone found any chassis numbers of series 3 vehicles kept by the Navy?

The colour is not a Landrover colour - specific Navy only.

They were not navy vehicles as such.  They were Commonwealth plated vehicles (often starting with ZN*-***) and owned by the Dept of Supply/Admin Services on issue to the Navy.  Same with Bedford trucks, buses, mokes, landcruisers etc.

There are two stage 1 Isuzu currently on gumtree in this unusual light blue. I owned one of them some years ago now. Also, just missed a series 2a lwb soft top in the same colour many years ago now. It had split rims and a capstan winch.
