Hi,

unfortunately they are not the correct size

"The size of your number plate

We have the following size plates available:

    Small - 10 x 28cm (3.9 x 11.0)
    Large - 10 x 40cm (3.9 x 15.7)"

a proper number plate is 14 1/2"  x 5 1/4" or 370mm x 130mm

try http://www.plateproviders.com.au/

plenty of us have bought them from here and they are good

regards
Scott

Just had a look at the unrealplates.com website.  They look great,  how did you indicate a diamond as the separator ?

Gedday

either Plate Providers (Vic) or Unreal Plates (QLD). Plate Providers are closing down soon however due to Govt regs surrounding replica plates that has made their business unviable.

I just got two sets, one from Unrealplates the other from signmyname on facebook

pros and cons for both

Unrealplates - dearer $76 for two plus delivery $92 total from memory, slower delivery (6 weeks over Xmas break), AMF is vinyl sticker and too large wrong font, diamond is sticker but numbers are good and embossed in

Signmyname - cheap $48 for two delivered, very quick 1 week, but numbers not embossed and all vinyl stickers

Signmyname on top

My 2 cents worth, I think the top one looks better.

Hi  All
Thee originals don't have the serifs ie the sevens are straight no curve and no funny bit on the ones. I have been working on some for my vehicles and the results are very good. I have measured the original AMF plates and have cut stencils to paint them, I have made some samples out of vinyl and they are as close as you will get to the real thing. I will get some photos and post them. I have also made some stencils to paint the later green and white ARMY plates.
Cheers

Hi All,

I just purchased some plates from signmyname and agree with Scott and the numerals not being stamped into the plate. The AMF looks good and I think the diamond could be a little bigger. Overall cost etc 👍

Cheers,

Mick

Hi All
As I stated in my last post I am going to make my own plates. I have measured some original AMF plates and I have made some painting masks and I am going to paint them. I have included some photos of what I have come up with. I am going to make black and white ones for the 2A and some green and white fot tje perentie. I have some full gloss olive drab paint which is very close to the original green used on the green and white plates.

This is one of my trials that I cut and laminated in vinyl.

This is another trial i made to see how the green and white ARMY looked. It is not thr correct shade of green.

these To images are the finished results for the paint masks. All I need now is some spare time to do the painting
